I am most sad and mad (at the same time) with a friend who just discovered she got cancer. Mastectomy done and 10 lymph nodes removed. Well, she would go through all the extremes (in effort and money) to counter and live longer but put her head to great stress and gets angry at many little things.

Hold on, I shouldn’t be mad …. I am at peace… peace.

A simple solution that is proven to help others in her same condition was brushed off. All that is required is a little change in lifestyle and she wouldn’t do it. Well it was the change that was very difficult.

Simple explanation – cancer cells feed on sugar, loves mucous environment, hated oxygen and multiply speedily at a temperature of 35 degrees C. The aim is to make their life hell in your body and they die faster than ever.

So how do you raise your body temperature? That is the change she is not willing to take. Nevertheless, I will continue to give her the moral support needed, but I will stop short at being her emotional punchbag.

I thank God for giving me this (mind) openness and the ability to embrace change. Share the goodness of life in this land of abundance and gratitude ‘shukor nescaya Tuhan akan tambah’.

First dissapointment but I am spurred. Last night was ‘education nite’ but none of the 37 girls I invited, came.

Mentors

She is a lady who is sweet and soft-spoken but also firm and focused. A great charismatic leader. She is my mentor. We met a year ago and we clicked it off right away.

Have you ever met someone and felt very comfortable at the word GO whilst, at times someone with the sweetest smile gives you a creepy crawly feelings, which shouts ‘back off’. That is our six sense ‘on guard’. Trust that feeling.

Now back to my mentor. We met today because I needed her opinion and consultation regarding a tricky situation with a group I am working with. The result – after two hours of consultation, I felt very confident and enlighten on how to tackle these group of people. Amin.

Our parents is our very first mentor. Sometimes with their best interest at heart (as they know how), they tend to overstep a bit. Trust me, all things happen for a reason. Your parents graduated with QBE (not the minyak sapi brand) but qualified by experience

If you do not have a mentor. I suggest you go and get one. It is important that you select your mentors very carefully. Characteristics to lookout for in a mentor; God-fearing, just, upright, honest, caring, loveable, diligent with farsight and foresight (mmm, what’s the difference?). Life is full of choices to be made. Choose your mentors very carefully, and who said they need to be a ‘real live person whom you can touch and talk to.’

There are many mentors out there whom you can pick. Oprah Winfrey used to be mine not until she started questioning God’s existence. Greatest mentor of all time is Prophet Muhammad pbuh and his beloved Saiyidatina Aisha ra. I have in my collections many books written by Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, Suze Orman, Malcolm Gladwell, Bob Procter, Robert Kiyosaki etc. I pick and choose the lessons to learn from these great people, but at the end of the day, I am what I am because I choose what I want to be.

Before you go on a ‘getting spree’. Start with giving first. Start with your family. It belief it is for that reason, that the Creator has sent me a super duper Mentor.

Inspiring Others

It’s tough to keep ourselves inspired. It’s even tougher to inspire others.

I am in a leadership position, and as such, I have to watch over myself frequently. At times, I feel like strangling someone, but my mentor told me that I always have to treat them with love and care. For it is with love and care that you move others. Patience – is a noble character. I am not one of those soul with patience, but thank goodness! I have not broken anybody’s neck.

I have yet to see the change in anyone (in my team). That is my dream; be a meaningful specific. Today I sat with one of my ‘raw gems’ who has great potential to shine but he is just, a slow worker. Take it easy. Relax man… I want him to soar high before the end of this year.

Whether you are a daughter, a mother or a worker. You are a leader in your own rights. It is absolutely critical that you watch what you do, what you say in front of your kids. They will emulate you. I am not a mother, but I love my nieces and nephew to bits. When I am with them, I am in my best behaviour.

After a long hiatus, been too busy with my life … have not had the time to write here. I wonder how others who are equally busy … managed to maintain their blogs on a daily basis …. how I envy you people.

Niece and I

Over the weekend, me and niece D went shopping for our mp3. We got our very own identical zen stone for our halwa telinga. The lady at Creative store told us that one charger is enough as we are staying in the same house! How presumtous she can be - we are staying in different house – her mom is my sis

Can’t wait to load all our favourite songs. D also bought Alvin and the Chipmunks cd …. ate at Ramen Ten.

Now, let me talk about Ramen Ten. It is the only halal japanese restaurant in town and that’s where I brought my sis to celebrate her birthday.

They serve the worse sushi ever, simply because they serve ‘not so fresh’ ingredient. Fresh ingredient is the key to any japanese meal; be it sushi or tempura. I had to send the sushi back to the kitchen. To apease me, their customer, they send the chef who explained that it’s difficult to get halal ingredients bla, bla, bla – unacceptable. If you want to sell something, don’t compromise on quality.

the flu bug has started to affect my plumbing system – the nose get blocked and I’m trying hard to be happy. A friend sent me happy note. You know those chain sms that on how you have to be happy now and not later. Thanks mate!

It started to rain in the afternoon and by the time I leave for home, it’s just a drizzle. Took a ‘long cut’ to the train station and I was just enjoying the wet road, the falling leaves and the serenity of God’s playground after a ~~good shower~~ springclean. I truly love the rain – i’m walking in the rain, just walking in the rain …. what a glorious feeling, I’m happy again … it’s a bless! Suddenly, it’s double blessing – it did not only rain but it pours … At the junction stop, a girl was braving the rain without a umbrella – offered her to share and detour to her destination. A good deed for today.

I promised to tell you about T Harv Eker. Well today is the day, because I have the time. What does T in Harv Eker means? Its THE … because there’s only one Harv Eker. My name is Zaleha Arip, I am proud to be Zaleha and it shall be Al Zaleha Arip heeheehe. I’m sure, there are many Zalehas out there, but what are the chances of them having Arip as a father? But I do know that I was named after my grandma. So you can call me Zaleha II!

OK, back to the Millionaire Mind intensive. A lasting impression (lesson learnt) is the rich is a BE, DO and HAVE. Whilst the poor is the HAVE, DO and BE. What’s the difference? The rich ‘if I BEcome successful, I will be able to DO what I need to do, to HAVE what I want, including a lot of $$. The poor ‘if I HAVE a lot of money, then I can DO what I want and I would BE a success

90 Day Wealth Conditioning Program – T Harv Eker

Today is Day 6 of the program. Act in spite of … I managed to pull myself out of bed this morning despite the big flu bug that is wrecking my voice box. I lasted the whole morning but by 4pm the bug is pounding my head. A panadol did the trick. I managed to fight the sick feeling to feel good. The bonus, I managed to join others for Cocktail to bid a friend farewell to a stint in China.

An early nite for me tonight…
